Pre-facelift (left) or post-facelift (right)?

I prefer the Mark IX, the mustang based V8 ecoboost, 650HP M6 competitor lincoln will eventually build.

Pre for sure. The post facelift has too much of that 90s swoopiness in comparison, doesn't look nearly as good to me.

Pre-facelift, definitely.

Ok lol.
Have you moved in with Brt yet?

I like the taillights and side mirrors from the facelift, but the front grille/headlights (in body color) from the pre-facelift.

The squarer grille unfortunately lends itself to a very buck-tooth look.. They're all pretty long in the face.

For sure the one on the left, I don't know these cars at all, but the black one is better for me.

Who is Brt :P

This one.

I can't decide

As with most cars, I have to go with pre-facelift. It looks a lot cleaner and more authoritative. Not to say that the facelift ruined it, because it didn't, I just prefer the "before".

Post face lift with better engine.

Pre. Looks meaner.

If it has a manual and a ray switch, I'm down with either.

I know haha. I have actually been a lurker on Jalopnik since Murilee Martin wrote on here, years ago. This site went through so many redesigns and crap.

Post. It's just cleaner. And I hate chrome. My '97 SHO had the optional fucking chrome wheels. Oh how I wish they'd had plasti-dip back then.

I agree

I think they only came with an auto

They did, but it's a common swap. Along with Cobra heads and exhaust.

Pre-facelift for me. I always liked those cars. The design looks much more coherent in its original form.

Maybe the quarter panels are swappable up front.

Pre. Also a big fan of the Mark VII, but you didn't ask that.

Pre-facelift. the post looks too much like a Buick.
![]() 02/08/2015 at 14:23 |

I prefer the looks of the pre, but IRL I'd probably go with post due to some of the other updates.
![]() 02/08/2015 at 14:25 |

The Pre version all the way. It's got that more intimidating, mobster presence to it you need in a Lincoln.
![]() 02/08/2015 at 14:35 |

Pre-facelift with all the post-facelift updates and added comforts...
![]() 02/08/2015 at 14:37 |

Post. The pre-facelift one is too angular compared to the rest of the car.

neither? They both look terrible to me
![]() 02/08/2015 at 15:48 |

Same, it just has more presence. As a Lincoln should.
![]() 02/08/2015 at 15:51 |

Definitely post. Pre was ruined when Chrysler ripped off the front end.
![]() 02/08/2015 at 16:31 |

Pre obviously, it is what the design was intended to look like, not a comparably rushed refresh to keep it current. The gen2 does grow on me though, I did see one in person right before I bought mine and it was a pretty car. Black LSCs are the best of the bunch!

I like it big and black, baby!
